According to statistics gathered by Cornell University Department of Veterinary Science, an estimated 12 million healthy cats, dogs and other small animals are euthanized in shelters every year. About 75% of cats and kittens and over 56% of dogs and puppies are euthanized. If you'd like to add a new pet to your family, please consider saving a life instead of buying a pet.
